Copyright

Copyright
An Mp3 file has been available for about 7 years now, and is being abused. Copyright which is the topic of the situation is the main purpose of this article. Copyright is a form of protection given to authors or creators of their original work. Downloading music for your personal use is okay, however if you make separate mp3 files, or burn cds and distribute them to your peers that is illegal. Even if you sell it to your friends and it is still illegal, and is not permitable, because you are breaking the copyright law. The creator, of that song has to get credit. Some artists allow their songs to be downloaded from their websites, often as a short preview or a low quality sampling. Others have embedded services in their sites that allow purchases of their singles or albums, as demonstrated by Metallica's official website. Even if there is no copyright symbol, it still may be copyrighted because it was the person’s original work. So be careful, and always think the situation through about giving someone a free cd download, from your music. It is illegal for anyone to do any of copyrighting listed such as copyrighting Music, Movies, etc. with a work created by someone else without their permission. Copyrighting applies to anything that establishes someone else’s work without their consent, or buying the rights to that work. Copyright infringement is when someone exploits any of the exclusive rights of copyright without the copyright owner’s permission. If you are charged with this you may have to pay penalties, or even go to jail. Also, the infringer must stop using that work, and if they don’t then they’re in the same situation all over again. Fair use is when you are allowed to use a work for example if you use it for educational purposes, and criticism, or parody. Torrent file sharing is another common method of peer-to-peer transfers. There is much controversy relating to file sharing due to copyright restrictions that apply to recorded media. The U.S. Code protects copyright owners from the unauthorized reproduction, adaptation or distribution of sound recordings, as well as certain digital performances to the public. For an alternative to a website such as limewire use iTunes, as it is a safe legal website. Overall, copyright is a big topic, nowadays, and it is a big situation to deal with, so follow the law.

Dish Network Vs FCC Copyright Case

Network VsFcc
Summary: Direct broadcast satellite provider was not likely to succeed on a claim that an amendment to 47 U.S.C.S. 338 violated the First Amendment; the amendment, which accelerated the timetable for high-definition programming for noncommercial educational television stations, was content-neutral and likely to survive intermediate scrutiny. Basically Dish Network used high defintion programming for noncommercial educational television stations. That violated the First Ammendment.
What Type of Work:  The type of work it was, was a film, and the film violated 1st amendment.
What were the results of the case- Dish Network won the Case, however they were warned not to do that again

New Zealand Country Project

My favorite part about the project was that I got too learn about a new country, and thier different cultures, and travel destinations. Next, I really didnt have a least favorite part about the project. Yes I learned about something knew about my country. Some strong points in my persentation I think were that I presented lots of information, and I thought my fonts and colors were good. Last, what I would reccomend for a future research project is too research States in the U.S. or Famous Citys. Last, Trinity Jans presentation was great, Austin Weitzel's was also, good, last Allie Petes was good.

New Year And Looking Back at 2011

My highlight of 2011, would have to be going to Disneyworld, over Easter break, and getting a tan while I was there. My low point would have to be when my friend, rode his bike down a hill, and fractured his skull. Overall, going to Disneyworld, would hae to be the best moment, it is just so fun. My goals for 2012, would have to be, to work out at the YMCA, a lot, and to stay away from Video Games. Also, to make the golf team this year, and to play tennis. If I were given 100,000 dollars to start the new year, I would put it in the Bank, and save it when I need it, and spend it on things I need. I probably spend it on video games, or new golf clubs, or a Camaro.
